GOLDEN GUARDIANS NAME NICK “INERO” SMITH GENERAL MANAGER OF LCS TEAM this is a test for a really long title on a news article

SAN FRANCISCO – The Golden Guardians (GG), an esports affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, today announced that Nick “Inero” Smith has been named general manager of the brand’s League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) team.

Smith previously served as head coach of the Golden Guardians where he oversaw player training and growth, implemented draft tactics, and developed high-level in-game strategies. Under his leadership as head coach, the LCS team appeared in six playoffs, making three consecutive Summer Split playoff appearances in 2020, 2021, and 2022. He originally joined the organization in 2018 as a team consultant before being named head coach.

“Nick has been a crucial element to the Golden Guardians since he joined the organization in 2018,” said Warriors Head of Esports Hunter Leigh. “We are excited to elevate our team to new heights under Nick’s tutelage with his proven leadership abilities.”

As general manager, Smith’s day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the coaching and support staffs, roster moves, contract negotiations, and overall competitive performance of the team.
